Rusty Wolf, the notorious leader of the galaxy's roughest bandits, had done the impossible — he'd escaped from a high-security space prison. With a smirk on his scarred face, he piloted his battered starship through the cosmos, eventually touching down on a distant, snow-covered planet. The ship landed in a clearing surrounded by towering, frost-covered trees. It was the perfect place to lay low and send a signal to his fellow outlaws.
Rusty, always the cautious type, decided to scope out the area before making contact. After all, who knew what surprises this frozen forest might hold? With a blaster at his side, he trudged through the snow, his boots crunching with every step.
As he rounded a particularly large tree, Rusty stopped in his tracks. There, standing in the middle of the snowy path, was a little girl, no older than ten, dressed in a bright red winter cloak and carrying a basket. She was humming a cheerful tune as she skipped along, seemingly unaware of the dangerous criminal now standing before her.
Rusty couldn't help but laugh. "Well, well, well, what do we have here?" he sneered, stepping forward. "Where are you off to, little miss?"
The girl looked up at him with big, innocent eyes. "I'm going to the village to visit my sick grandmother," she said sweetly. "She's not feeling well, and I want to bring her something to help her get better."
Rusty raised an eyebrow. "And what's in the basket, then? Some goodies for Granny?"
The girl's smile widened. "Oh, just some essentials," she said, opening the lid of her basket. "Like this." With a quick motion, she pulled out a tiny, sleek blaster, aimed it directly at Rusty's chest, and fired without hesitation.
The shot hit him squarely, sending him stumbling back into the snow with a grunt of pain.
The girl, still smiling, stepped closer, her blaster ready for another shot if necessary. "My name's Elza," she said calmly. "I'm from the Stormpride tribe. We learn how to handle weapons when we're seven. You know, I saw your face on the holonews this morning. You really should have picked a different planet."
And with that, Elza casually walked past the fallen bandit, continuing on her way to the village. After all, Granny really was waiting for her visit.
