We at DakkaDakka.Store are thrilled to introduce our new brand: Taiga Miniatures — a fresh label for wild, creative, standalone games and miniature lines.
And our first venture? A line of highly detailed STL miniatures for Planet Shark, fully compatible with the official rules.
Ready for something completely different (and a little bit ridiculous)?
What happens when galactic bureaucrats start dumping military trash on a pristine ocean world?
You get Planet Shark — a chaotic, hilarious, and beautifully scrappy skirmish game where mutant shark warriors rise up to reclaim their home, one rusty missile launcher at a time.
And guess what? We’re diving in headfirst.
What is Planet Shark?
Planet Shark is a fast-paced tabletop miniatures game full of over-the-top weapons, ridiculous combos, and shark-on-shark action.
The story begins with a peaceful water planet, turned into a galactic landfill by the oh-so-thoughtful Alien Council. But surprise — the planet isn’t uninhabited. The Sharkanoids — toothy, armor-clad, slightly unhinged aquatic warriors — are mad as hell, and they’re not taking it anymore.
Your job? Build your squad (called a Shiver), customize their gear, and go to war against rival Sharkanoids for honor, vengeance, and most importantly... junk.
Yes, there's a mission literally called Scrap Run.
How does it play?
3’ x 3’ battlefield, full of weird terrain and trash markers.
D10-based gameplay, with actions for movement, attacking, jumping over walls, and picking up garbage (no, really).
Loads of weapons: From Buzzsaws and Phase Blades to Transporter Guns and The Talking Stick (which makes enemies lose actions from being bonked).
Campaign-friendly: Sharkanoids earn Honor Points, level up, take injuries, and develop unique traits like "Unrelenting Hate" or "Mama Shark Mode."
The rules are simple, the tone is chaotic, and the potential for cinematic moments is chef’s kiss.
